MH3D Announces First Commercial Installation of Alpha-SPECT™ Mini at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

BALTIMORE, MD – November, 2025 – MH3D is proud to officially announce the first commercial installation of its flagship preclinical SPECT/CT imaging system, the Alpha-SPECT™ Mini. The state-of-the-art system has been installed at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

The Alpha-SPECT™ Mini represents a significant leap forward in preclinical imaging technology. It is the only preclinical SPECT imaging scanner on the market utilizing CZT (Cadmium Zinc Telluride) detectors, offering unmatched energy resolution and sensitivity for research in radiopharmaceutical therapy.

Strategic Partnership with Inviscan This installation also marks a major milestone in the strategic partnership between MH3D and Inviscan, a leader in preclinical medical imaging. Inviscan provides the high-performance IRIS CT system for the SPECT/CT integrated solution. The CT modality is essential for attenuation correction and precise anatomical registration of the SPECT images, ensuring the highest data accuracy for researchers. The IRIS CT is a high end, fast scanning in-vivo system that allows in addition to perform a wide range of CT applications in medical research, including perfusion imaging with 4D CT, cardiac and pulmonary gating, quantification of bone density and adipose tissue, vascular imaging, etc.
